Lemon Butter Flank Steak

tsp. finely shredded lemon peel

cloves garlic, minced

cups shredded Napa cabbage

cup fresh bean sprouts

green onions, bias-sliced into 1-inch pieces
1. Place steak in a shallow dish. Add cilantro, half of
the olive oil, the lemon peel and juice, garlic, Vz tsp.

and the red pepper. Turn
steak to coat. Cover; chill 30 minutes to 1

Meanwhile,
prepare Lemoflt Butter; set
aside.
In
a
12
-inch nonstick skillet heat remaining oil over
medium heat.
Remove
steak from
marinade;
discard
marinade.
Cook steak

minutes or to desired done-
ness, turning once. Cover; let stand 10 minutes.

Add vegetables to skillet. Cook and stir over
medium heat 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.
Season with
salt
and
pepper.
Serve steak with
vegetables and Lemon Butter. Makes 4 servings.
Lemon Butter In bowl combine 3 Tbsp. softened
butter; 3 Tbsp. minced lemongrass;

cup cilantro;
1 Tbsp. lemon juice; and salt, pepper, and crushed
red pepper to taste.

cup granulated sugar

pkg. active dry yeast

medium bananas, mashed (1 cup)

eggs, plus 2 egg yolks
Vegetable oil for deep-fat frying

1, In bowl combine

cups of the flour, the sugar,
yeast, and 1 tsp.
salt;
set aside. In saucepan combine
milk and butter. Heat until warm (125°F). Add to
flour mixture. Add bananas, eggs, and yolks. With
mixer, beat on medium

minutes. Stir in

flour,
adding additional flour

will be sticky.) Transfer to a buttered bowl; turn to
coat surface. Cover; let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
2, On floured surface roll dough to %-inch thick-
ness. Cut with floured 2 Winch doughnut cutter.
Reroll dough and repeat. Place cutouts on baking
sheet. Cover; let rise 30 minutes or until doubled.
3, Fry a few at a time in hot oil (365aF) for 2 minutes or
until golden; turning once. Remove with slotted spoon;
drain. Dip in glaze. Makes 30 doughnuts plus holes.
Glaze In microwave-safe bowl combine

sweet chocolate pieces,

2 Tbsp. butter. Microwave 1 minute; stir. Microwave
30 seconds more. Whisk in
cup powdered sugar
